Eventful February

We had a lot of events and programs in February: dog shows, birthday party, Hungarian Leonberger Breeders Association’s general meeting and club dinner. In the middle of February Lions from Fairy Tale puppies participated in two dog shows: Lara in FEHOVA CACIB in Budapest, Alice and Mythos in Cluj Napoca CACIB in Romania.

We travelled to Cruj Napoca on 15th of February, where Mythos and Alice participated in their first international dog show, with very nice result: both of them got excellent 1 classification and JCAC title. In addition Mythos won Best Junior, Best Male and Best of Opposite Sex titles as well! Mythos were great in the ring, he really enjoys dog shows. With these results both Alice and Mythos fulfilled the criteria of Romanian Junior Champion title, which is their first junior champion title! :-)

Lara participated in FEHOVA CACIB on 15th and 16th of February. In a very strong competition she got excellent 4 on the first day, and excellent 2 on the second day. In these shows all entered dogs got a written judgement, it is a pleasure to read Lara’s judgements:
Dr. Balogh Katalin (H): "13 months old elegant female, nice feminine head, good mask, excellent ears, good neck, deep but still narrow chest, correct angulations, head could be straighter, energetic movement."
Baffia Zoltán (H): "Big size, strong bones. Very nice feminine head, friendly face, dark mask and eyes. Body line is still in development. Good angulations, parallel limbs, good step length. A bit highly-held tail."

We celebrated Alex’s second birthday with a delicious cake on 17th of February. Happy Birthday, Alex!

On the last weeked of February we participated in the club dinner of Hungarian Leonberger Breeders Association, where the best leonbergers were awarded in the Best Dog of the Year 2013 competition. We were really happy because two of ours leonbergers were awared: Alex won second place in the competition of junior males owing to his show results from last year, and Lara won forth place among junior females! We are especially proud of Lara, because she is the first Lions from Fairy Tale leonberger who was awarded in the Best Dog of The Year competition, furthermore she achieved this nice success with only two dog show results! Congratulations to her owner, Kitti Eötvös, and of course to Lara!
